The 2009 Taste of Plumas embraced a happy full house of several hundred people enjoying great food and wine and each other. This third annual event produced by Plumas Arts is one of three primary fundraising events that help the nonprofit arts agency to keep local cultural arts a programs flourishing in Plumas County.

"Perhaps one of the most satisfying parts for those of us at Plumas Arts," comments Plumas Art Director Roxanne Valladao, "is to see the chefs and owners interacting with the clientele as well as each other. We know that these creative souls do not often get out front to meet their audience of appreciative customers so it is really special to facilitate that interaction.”

Event producers noted that attendance was down only slightly from last year"s event and, as might have been expected, auctions and drawings brought in less than previous years. All in all, especially given the current economy, Plumas Arts is very grateful to have done so well with the event and for the generosity of the culinary arts establishments and the many persons who bought tickets and turned up to make it such a great time for all.

Favorite Appetizers were a tie between Bella Luna Creative Catering's Black & Blue, Frico Salata and Blue Shitake Rolls and the Alley Cat Café's Pepperonata Feta.
